We put a lot of the burden of students' success or failure on teachers. But it is important to remember that those teachers operate in an environment regulated from above. Subject leaders are key to buffering those inputs and help schools succeed. 🧪

This is completely anecdotal, but my daughter has been giving my granddaughter tiny bits of all the common allergens (with a major dose of dog hair & dander) since she started eating food. Peanut butter toast and whole milk are 2 of her favorites.

I woke up grumpy today. My daughter says my house has negative (or not positive) energy and that’s why I don’t sleep enough, so I’m chewing on that. Thursday is my hard class day, and I’m meeting with admin tomorrow (monthly check in). Book fair is next week.

I did not expect that Pull-a-Part yard had how-to videos available by QR code on the wall. there’s a steady stream of men coming to find auto parts, presumably for their repair shops. I’m just waiting for a guy to fetch a wheel for my old truck. This is the real economy.

In light of our government’s being dismantled by know-nothings and autocrats, it is even more important for #librarians to teach students how to evaluate sources. I used to teach that .gov domains were reliable, but no more.

Today in flabbergasted, a parent complained to teacher and our spelling bee coordinator that the 6th grade words were inappropriate and her child would not be learning them. Reader, it’s the official Scripps National Spelling Bee list we purchased.
