#BlueMonday isn't the most depressing day of the year - rather it's just another cold, winter Monday.

We know mental health doesn’t discriminate, and for some people, this time of year can feel heavy. We've put together a list of organisations here to help whenever you might need bit.ly/4dRBVpA

1/3 The BBC (bbc.in/4sMKR6X) have highlighted that the number of women sleeping rough is more than 10 times the figure identified in government reports. Known as the "hidden homeless", women are often missed on official counts as they do not stay in one spot for very long for fear of being attacked.

1/2 Each year, nurses, midwives and healthcare support workers give up their Christmas and time with their family to care for others.

Behind every birth, every recovery, every moment of care, stands a nurse, midwife or healthcare support worker – and alongside them stands the RCN Foundation.

1/2 Stephanie, a nursery nurse for over 35 years, always wanted to work with babies. Inspired by an article, she began working in the neonatal unit.

She found that there was limited funding available in her workplace so applied for an RCN Foundation education grant.

1/2 Last week RCN HQ held their Christmas do, and in the festive spirit, very kindly supported us with our raffle. 🎄🎁

We had a good laugh and a great turnout, raising over £1,000 – all of which will go to our hardship fund and help support those facing financial difficulty.

1/2 This #FocusFriday we're shining a spotlight on nursing assistant Festus.

Festus received an education grant to study Advanced Phlebotomy at Levels 3 and 4. His motivation to work in this area stem from "a strong desire to be directly involved in improving patient experiences and outcomes”.
