Home Depot and Lowe’s are using AI-powered license plate readers and feeding this data into law enforcement surveillance systems accessible to ICE. Their parking lots are also regular sites of ICE raids targeting day laborers.

Very wintery weather in Ontario right now. May I remind drivers (transports, pickups & SUVs in particular) that how quickly you can get going has no relation to how long it takes to stop!

I'm pretty much a life-long Liberal. I voted for Mark Carney, but I'm still waiting for him to show up.
I voted LIBERAL -- NOT CONservatve-light.

A life-long Liberal, I thought I voted for Mark Carney. I didn't get Mark Carney. I got Harper-light.
I feel hoodwinked & betrayed.

Just listening to The House - maybe Minister LeBlanc should stop lying to Canadians

The MOU will INCREASE climate pollution - it weakens/kills major climate and environmental legislation and gets nothing in exchange

This new government has no integrity

Question: How on God's green Earth is it possible for Canada to meet its Paris Accord emission target & subsidise big oil & gas? One can't suck & blow at the same time!

When ICE Gestapo r taken down these videos will be evidence of their cruelty! #iceout

I don't disagree, but IMHO, Canada has demonstrated all of this, perhaps more so.
In a moment like this, when tensions are high, part of the job of the president is to remind us of the ties that bind us together.

I just found out that I'm not seeing feeds from some people I follow even if I'm using the "following" tab. WTF Bluesky!?

Glancing at a NYT piece on people searching for God (should that be capitalised in this context?) in AI apps reminds me of an interaction we had with "Jesus" on ChatGpt4. My brother programmed "him" into it using as much available information as possible. 🤯!

On this day Aug 4, 1944: Anne Frank was arrested after 2 years in hiding.

Not by monsters in uniforms but by neighbors.

Today, governors threaten political enemies with removal.
ICE raids target families.
LGBTQ+ people are banned from bookshelves.

Never again means nothing if you stay silent.

I have to get my writing mojo on... my column for July's edition of Neonatology Today (NeonatologyToday.net) is due. Title: Why are we always The Last to Know? Topic: device design & features (or lack thereof).
Does anyone have pet peeves they'd like to share?

There are no RCTs because they'd be FUCKING UNETHICAL WITH NO EQUIPOISE!!!
Margaret Brennan totally exposes FDA Commissioner Makary for making it up as he goes and making conflicting recommendations in order to cast doubt on covid vaccines. He's so terrible during this interview that Brennan is left shaking her head as she wraps it up.

I had my 9th C-19 vaccination on Thursday. I must say, being dead is not at all what I expected it to be. 😜

2 things can be true. Israel has the legal right to defend itself. If you poke the dog, you're going to get bitten. Israel shot the dog when a beating would have sufficed.

1: this is dangerous
2: there's HUGE profit in vitamins/supplements
3: freedom of speech/expression doesn't include the public health equivalent of shouting "FIRE!!!" in a crowded theatre.

The plummeting stock market has decimated 401-ks for millions. BUT, unlike the average Joe, the ultra-wealthy can not only afford to hold & wait, they will swoop in & buy deeply discounted stocks. While the middle-class starves, their wealth grows like a cancer. This is no accident.

Looking for a C19/airborne safe dentist in the GTA/Hamilton area? I HIGHLY recommend Aldent dentistry in Waterdown. N-95 masking in treatment rooms + UVC air treatment + 25 air exchanges/hour. They're also nice!!

One day someone you know stops showing up to work, school, church, etc… nobody knows where they went, maybe they moved? Who knows, you forget about it, move on. Years later you find out there are mass graves created by the regime found on the outskirts of town, and that’s where they were all along.

Listening to the deafening silence coming from the Democrats, one could be forgiven for thinking they actually approve of this train wreck.

The average net worth of members of Congress is over $1 million, so it's not like they'll benefit from massive tax cuts for the rich... 🤔
