Hey. Just been reading an article explaining how employers might fire people because they check social media accounts and see them saying things like how evil corporate bastards should stop hurting people.

Gosh. That sounds great. Why do I still have a job? When will this happen? Why so slow?

Pro tip, friends. Most movie streaming platforms offer large quantities of expensively produced television series.

Choose a random series and set the audio and subtitles to two different languages that you do not know.

You can watch for hours and never be offended by understanding what people say!

Okay, friends. Going to share a secret with you.

We all know that TV sucks, and movies suck more.

That is not the secret part.

The secret it that most movies have trailers. You can watch those trailers and get just enough of the story to imagine the rest.

What you imagine will be better.

Been too long. Need to say something enigmatic and slightly scary.

Right. Got it.

Death is not the tragedy. Stagnation is.

Forgetting is not the problem. Rigid conformity is.

Your mortality and my amnesia are features, not bugs.

Call it hyperbole, but that would be an extreme exaggeration.

Hey. Anyone know how to interpret dreams? This one is lingering for me.

Dreamed that I had quit my job and was feeling great joy because I would no longer have to deal with a toxic environment dominated by bullies and narcissists who spend all of their time betraying each other.

Then I woke up.

Oh, and here is another thing. The product that I am building is an app which will not have any AI features at all. Do you know why? Because I am betting that real people will prefer to buy something that works without AI, because they hate AI at this point. AI itself is the pain point.
September 30, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Hey, you know how it is now popular to say, "AI will not take your job, but someone who knows how to use AI will?"

Okay, fuck that. I am looking for people who know how to code, to write or to illustrate without using AI. You see, I am hiring, and I want to hire human beings who do not AI slop.

Just for the sake of perversity I have learned how to type an em dash—so that I can say—fuck GPT.

Well... shit... that worked....

Friends, become truants, please. Avoid responsibilities imposed on you by careless authorities. Do not learn your lessons from school if you can get your information from libraries and ancient repositories of knowledge. Better yet, please all of you consider first your own reason as authority.

No.

It is wrong to think that meaning is confined to words explicitly written. We announce ourselves timing of presence and absence as clearly or more than when we speak intentions. There is no hiding from algorithms which learn to hear by example. What we unspeak they can learn just as what we speak.

Oh, I want to delete everything. Every time I post something in any social media site, it sits poorly with me.

Words have meaning only if they influence behavior. Unfortunately, my recent observations are that the only behaviors we modern people can engage are shifting allegiances.

Once more I find myself asking what aspect of myself it would be useful to project into the internet. Giving too many personal details on social media and in blogs is a security threat. My intended audience would likely not care my exact birthday or my mother's maiden name, but scammers would.

Come late to the party and celebrate with abandon while the other guests leave.

The best uses for a thing are not in the manual. They cannot be, because those who wrote the manual did so before the thing was ever used.

The worst uses for a thing will also come with time and experience. Mistakes require inspiration just like any other action.

But a life can only be lived once.

Let me come back to the most basic question that any human being can have. How is it that I can express my love for my fellow human beings, despite conflict, despite limited understanding and skewed perspective, despite the hate which so often accompanies love?

Simply without condition.
August 29, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Can I doubt, and doubting, will you doubt with me? Can we stop believing and stop endorsing the beliefs of others without critical reason?
August 29, 2025 at 6:28 PM
Tear down everything. Discard the past which has brought us to this terrible present. Refuse the future. Do not submit to the authority of progress, but do not accept any truth not verified by science and math. Defy all laws other than gravity and entropy. There is nothing to trust other than reason
August 29, 2025 at 6:13 PM
I will write and then delete. I will speak and then let my words trail off into silence. Humanity needs no permanent record, but should accept only the ephemeral. Just as we are mortal, so should our thoughts die after a brief life.
August 29, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Art will continue as expression of humanity. No longer does perfect grammar and mechanical perfection automatically grant plausibility, but now becomes highly suspicious. Write flawed. Draw messy. Feel love.

Call your friends on the fucking phone and drink coffee together in cafes under sunshine.

Politics and industry eventually separate themself far enough from reality that public opinion is insufficient to keep them operating. After the fact, historians call it revolution, but most regimes end because of incompetence rather than popular uprising. Political agitation has neutral effect.
June 19, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Maybe there is no such thing as a good writer or a good artist. Art is a human thing. It is something that we share with each other. Why should we confine art to an elite class of human beings when it is all of us who need to share?

Good writers are flawed. They break rules. They contrive and coerce words in unnatural ways that offend critics and irritate editors.
