There are a lot of things I like about ST but El’s ending & the reason why they chose that ending just feels dumber every time you think about it. It’s not the first time a character is presumably dead but people who love them believe they are not but looking for them is against government orders.

Also I feel like making the characters accept Eleven’s disappearance as part of growing up, moving on and not looking for her sounds cowardly for the characters. She didn’t disappear because of something inevitable like aging she disappeared because of some stupid government military people.
This really makes me feel WTF tho. Yeah we have a lot of characters who represent the magic of childhood and disappear once the characters grow up, like Digimons ET Amphibia frogs etc. but they are usually happy magical(?) beings going on mostly fun adventures with the main character and parting in

i don't like it when people in the fandom hate the writers solely for the reason that "xx character didn't get enough development/focus!" that sounds very capitalism you know, like a character/star/idol can only get resources if they are popular and thus can generate income. if i'm a writer

In China my friends and I often say “happy Soviet Collapse Day!!” as a fun and non religious way to say Merry Christmas. But I don’t often see people make the joke in the US. Is it because it sounds more politically concerning in the US or does people just not know it’s the same day as Christmas?

I feel like as long as a black guy is dating a white woman people say they are Miles and Gwen. Jinx and Ekko? Miles and Gwen. Max and Lucas? Miles and Gwen. Congratulations to Robby and Izzy for avoiding the fate of being assigned Miles and Gwen by being both POC and not true love at all.
