I’d love to see the city get rid of parking minimums like many large cities have but this is at least a step in the right direction. Can’t increase density or reduce car dependency if there is a parking lot around each building.
Here’s what could change: For an apartment building downtown, an adjusted bylaw would require one parking spot for every two apartments (plus limited visitor parking), down from the current requirement of one parking spot for every apartment in the building.
