The problem with America broadly is they are way too nice to mean people and way too mean to nice people. Both parties exhibit this.
The way people just have no problem lying about facts and creating untrue narratives to own someone is gross(MAGA is way worse at this though of course).

I think a Trump "deep state" is far worse than a merit based "deep state".

The whole point of rebelling against Great Britain was to get away from the idea of a monarchy. That's what the checks and balances(The Supreme Court and Congress) are for.
