When will we extend fuel duty to the luxury of flying - and add VAT? We have both taxes applied to motorists - people going to work and about their daily lives, get taxed to the max. People flying round the word - nothing. It can’t be justified.

I hate when people ask me, “Why are you so quiet?” I’m quiet because that’s how I function. I don’t ask others, “Why do you talk so much?” That would be rude.

Holy fuck, this is where we are. A Labour Home Secretary just posted this image. I voted for these fucks and have been a member of the party for more than 30 years. Today I quit and so happy that I have.

Asylum is not illegal migration – why the UK government shouldn’t conflate the two
The new proposals transform settlement into something that must be continually earned. The path has become longer, more conditional and far more easily disrupted.

In this mad, flag shagging world we live in, why don't i see ANY EU flags.
The ONLY one I see is mine.
We should have been and really ought to be more forceful, less wet.
I've a flag in my living room window and have since 2019, my car is resplendent with a EU/UK sticker.
Get them out !! 🇪🇺🇪🇺

Does someone need to explain to the Home Secretary that forcing migrants to volunteer isn’t volunteering? It’s free labour. Do we demand this of anyone else? And what’s a high standard of English?

I of course welcome the recognition of the state of Palestine.

And there won't be a Palestinian state left if government's continue enabling Israel's unfolding genocide.

Labour can't credibly support Palestinian statehood whilst also continuing to arm Israel.

Absolutely brilliant how the same people who lose their shit about “virtue signalling” are the world champs of patriotism signalling and demand it from everyone else too.

Seeing some politicians competing for just how brutal and dehumanising they can be to vulnerable minorities - I can’t help comparing that to 16th and 17th witch trials. It’s so depressing.

Loss of human rights doesn't only impact people you don't like!
They want to leave the ECHR because it will allow them to abolish the State Pension, the Minimum Wage, paid holiday and sick leave.

It would make them tens of billions a year.

But of course they say immigration, because they can't tell you the real reason.

It's not asylum seekers who jack up rents, undermine the NHS, hold down wages and keep people insecure.
It's capital.
The role of the far right is to shift the blame for decades of economic attacks by the rich and powerful onto powerless people who have only just arrived here.

There's no credible evidence asylum seekers commit more crime, or are guilty of more sexual assaults. I am so sick of being force-fed lies by these mendacious thugs in their expensive suits.

By supporting the expansion of Heathrow Airport and spreading outright lies about decarbonising flying, Labour has again capitulated to lobbyists.
This is its defining characteristic: doing whatever powerful lobbyists ask, regardless of the social, environmental and even political costs.

The issue with racism whether on socials, in football or media is that it’s treated like ‘bad apple’ syndrome. Individuals are used as fair scapegoats if at all. Organisations and institutions are never penalised. Racists don’t act alone. They are emboldened by cultures and empowered by our silence.
