REEL formed when three refugees from The Psychedelic Duelling Wars congealed in the psychic wreckage of a Somerset studio to record Wild Garlick electronics, eschatological ambience & brown acid techno on adapted bits of farm machinery & petrol cans

Excited to say that on the 29th March we’re playing the end of Noise Maker Market gig at Centrala, Birmingham alongside some suitably strange & noisy fellows

For some reason, in my head this Hasil Adkins song is always partnered by The Phantom - Love Me m.youtube.com/watch?v=8zgs...

Watching Single White Female (1992) for the first time since seeing it in the cinema… can’t think of a more 1992 film. That haircut!

The 10” EP is probably my favourite vinyl format… only have a dozen or so but they’re all gems. And this is one of my fave Butthole Surfers releases as well.

To be fair, there have been some good imaginary film soundtracks… but not many.
While this album is possibly responsible for an absolute dirge / deluge of ‘soundtracks for imaginary films’ this is still fantastic: Barry Adamson - Moss Side Story

These snowboarding commentators on the #BBC #Olympics coverage are so funny / insane / stoned - almost certain they’ve just been randomly picked up from the street & told to make up words about the halfpipe competition…

It’s not exactly a precise, scientific or even a logically coherent analysis, but I’m pretty sure Laura Ashley soft furnishings and stripped pine furniture are responsible for the general decline of society since the 70s

I think lost and confused is the correct state for reading this book. Love it but, really, God knows
Like my coworker loaned it to me so I don’t want to give up on it, but I am utterly lost and confused with this book. It’s the Dictionary of the Khazars if anyone wants to know

Maybe Discord can look at all my posts about f***ed-up old records from the 80s & just give me the benefit of the doubt.

Today’s 12” is Aphex Twin - Girl / Boy EP. This is a Warp Promo for some reason - probably a bargain bin thing.

Have a look at what you could have won. This is what Hauntology was actually about.
Aside from walking and feeding the dogs and bathroom breaks, if I had this there is a good chance I would never move off of it.

Also one of the great things about The Iliad is that it just dumps us right in the middle of a long war & then ends before there’s any (global) resolution. The tiresome need for a fully completed arc is a stain on literature
I get that Hector is a right old Trojan horse lord and all that but I still love it that one of his war horses is called Sparkle.

The Cramps were the first band I had TWO posters of on my wall as a kid, breaking an informal rule I was following. This album has always been a mad joy.
