new platform needs new focus, so I will be trying to do weekly reviews of OKC city public meetings, mostly watching the YT videos. A reminder that all of the boards are mostly advisory, sometimes they have actual power but most just report to City Council.
Okc City Council Mtg. today 11-2-25 Disappointed I didn't attend as planned, it was short even with a long executive session to discuss salaries. As expected the road closure passed easily. CP Cooper returned to his old bs about the city is too big, and mayor joined in with wishing he could remove

This year, universities are giving $228 million to football coaches who failed at coaching football so that they won't coach football anymore.

an anniversary #Caturday #CatsofBluesky with Nobby, 7 years ago my dog shopping trip to the shelter ended when this obnoxious brat somehow tricked me into bringing him home. Every day he makes me laugh, and I hope I make him happy too.

You, Me & the Christmas Trees is a 2021 Hallmark Movie. Danica McKellar plays a Christmas Tree expert, the trees turn brown right after cutting. It's complicated because she canceled her big Christmas Eve wedding(?), and her parents want her to mope around their house. It's got car wreck meet

next time I tell someone how I feel, I'll do it with gingerbread: the only way I know how. #Hallmark

these posts are sad, so many fans holding on to the past, limiting their replies so only their fellow bubble dwellers can reply in the echo chamber of faded glory. The future isn't in Houston or San Fran, it lives in OKC #ThunderUp

Giving platelets isn't all about cookies and t-shirts, sometimes you get a pecan pie. Also got swaddled because it was so cold but no pics of that

I play chess online with strangers and it's so cute when they realize it's a completely different game. 5 days to move and a test mode, it's like playing a slow computer. Knights are more valuable, strategies are transparent, but it's still clear who the good players are. The middle ranks are a

the first Resident Evil movie was really good, and the trailer for RE 2 was priceless (ifykyk)
All right, speaking of zombies from a few days ago... Time to share a guilty pleasure of mine.

Resident Evil, the movies.

Based on the hit game, this franchise follows Alice as she fights back against the evil Umbrella corp. while the apocalypse unfolds around them.

Who else loves these?

Berry's author note in The List is honest: old manuscript from 90s written in Grisham style.
My additions: poorly before written, add a sentence saying dumped to make a few bucks from unsuspecting readers because it was unpublished so it is technically new.
thank for the lesson Steve

OKC City Council 11-18-25, really long and took forever to watch. Presentation of annual satisfaction survey, good that's it's positive but I assume it's mostly city employees. Bike Lane Presentation, always the same talk about it. Towing contract discussion where everyone is hinting about

one of things you learn watching city ( or any level of government) is that very few people participate. The recent resident satisfaction survey that is being publicized had less than 1400 participants out of over 700k residents. The bond issue in October was approved by about 30k votes,

enjoying one of the classic Hallmarks tonight, The Christmas Secret (2014). Has it all: old unreliable car, family mysteries, kids, name mixup, lovable old folks, etc. Some unusual dark elements with an angry coffee shop owner and an ex that is actually a bad/abusive husband and father.

I was pretty sure I was being pranked or scammed when a collections company called to inform me that I owed $15.23 in unpaid Oklahoma tolls.

OKC Planning Commission 11-13-25, nothing notable to me except that weird sortof mansion at 74th and Post (just east of Tinker AFB) is off the market and is converting to an event center with the house an Airbnb. No more crazy Zillow posts

catching up my mtgs., Okc Board of Adjustment 11-6-25, mainly Airbnbs, only excitement was a failed appeal of a Historic Preservation ruling. Felt sorry for the guy, he wasn't clear and got no help, it is difficult to speak at these things. Other item was a sign variance
