When you’re a #caregiver for someone with #Alzheimers, as I am, you’re advised not to correct them when they make mistakes. Instead, you try to meet them where they are. It isn’t always easy.
I wrote this song yesterday. It’s called “To Meet You Where You Are.”

Heartfelt, Eddie, very nice track. I must explain this concept to my wife, so she'll know how to handle me in a few years.

I was listening to the audio book a few weeks ago. I recalled that "Who controls the present, controls the past."

History is literally being rewritten. Surveillance is rampant, govt contracts with companies whose whole job is basically spying on every aspect of our lives for profit are everywhere.

I have to add, too, that the context is crucial! If the love of your life is holding your hand (or any other part of your body), music that wouldn't touch you cycling to school or work might sound compellingly beautiful, just as wine and food taste different depending on the situation.

Hey there, where does the music you play come from? You want modern? For "Conversations", the two met at a party, went into a studio a week later and improvised together, no charts, no rehearsals. The pianist is my brother, who played with many starts, including Freddie Hubbard a,d Gary Bartz.

I agree, underrated, unique création.

Some people love the sound of a freight train's horn. They might enjoy it as a recording in a movie sound track. It's not a composition with a human soul. Ear of the beholder is everything. Many genres of music are deeply human, yet unlistenable to me.

Beauty or enjoyment is where *you* find it.

There must be 100,000 talented folks out there who posted some videos and then no more for three years. I hope he is well! Pretty sweet channel.

There's a lot of activity on vegan recipes here, so definitely look around! I like to experiment with things like seasoning on simple concepts. The vegan "pepperoni" for example leave a very wide range of possible ways to season and even shape it.

Another from Jacqueline.
Easy Vegan Pepperoni (air fryer or oven)
A super simple recipe for vegan pepperoni made with vital wheat gluten and baked in an air fryer or oven. Gorgeous on pizza or sandwiches.

#Cyanotype on wood. There was a thin piece of wood in a box a new table came in. Every material is a new candidate for cyanotypes. Good thing we don't have a new baby.

So if you see me and think we were mutuals, if I'm not already following, mention me and I'll rectify.

Folks, I made a couple of rookie mistakes early on, followed full start packs and such, ended up with a lot of curation work. What I did forced me to create a new account. Fortunately, the old, while not usable by me, is still visible, so I see who I was following. Trying to reconstruct.🥱

i want to add more vegetarian meals to my arsenal this year, so when i see a vegetarian or vegan recipe on Bluesky i want to try, i’ll add it to this thread
There are plenty of crispy tofu recipes, but few truly deliver on the promise. This recipe for Crispy Tofu Tacos does not disappoint. "Oh la la! So easy and so delicious. Thank you for giving me a go-to midweek meal to make." nyti.ms/4pCRw0M

Maybe they'd recognize it but don't know the name?

I was just thinking of something specific today. In the news, the Profumo affair and Christine Keeler. In music, the Strawberry Alarm Clock. In technology, audio phone couplers to connect to the Internet. Going way back, wire recorders!

Partly a mistake, I needed to clean up a bunch of things at once. I used a tool that moves people you follow to Mastodon. Something I did made it also disable my Bluesky account when I then deleted. (I think!) Anyway, no way to recover the former handle.
