Our doorbell doesn’t work. It hasn’t for a while, so I covered it with duct tape. I can’t tell you how many delivery people try to ring it anyway. Then when they get no answer, they call me. Have people not heard of knocking? Do I have to leave instructions?

I’m stuck in the rehab facility where my wife is, and her roommate is watching “The Young and the Restless.” So far I haven’t seen any characters I would classify as “young.” But I guess “The Middle-Aged and the Restless” isn’t very catchy.

I’m happy to report that there are no Sinclair stations in Massachusetts. There are, however, two Nexstar stations in Springfield, though neither is an ABC affiliate. They are WWLP (channel 22) and its repeater station WFXQ-CD (channel 28.)
