Okay so, this is going to be a thread of me revisiting and making a new version of my original terrain pieces I made. I made these in around ’22, and I just made them because I wanted to try something. This was before Frostgrave or anything. I’m remaking them now, for The Silver Bayonet. Here we go!
A set of three pieces of scatter terrain with tombstones on them, a larger tombstone, and a mausoleum. In the middle of them all is a miniature for scale, and all the terrain pieces are very large in comparison to them. The tombstones are on round pieces of cardboard with sand covering them, then painted like stone and dirt. They have some static grass just sprinkled on them and some grass tufts. The mausoleum is all greys with a wooden door and a small gargoyle on a platform above the door. The large grave is almost the size of the mausoleum in height and is grey colored with a cross on top of it. Close up of the mausoleum. It’s colored I greys and the ground are tans. There is a wooden door on it. In the side of the building for decoration a square is cut into it and there is trim pieces on all the faces.

So here is my second round of clue tokens for the Silver Bayonet. The downed bodies are from Perry’s miniature’s Prussian skirmishers. The bones are mostly dead animal bits from wargames Atlantic. And the skulls are from various kits. I am pretty happy with these all:

A set of four Prussian miniatures all on the ground fallen in battle. They have blue coats and black pants. The ground has fall foliage on it and grass turf.

So to finish up the scarecrows I had from Grippingbeast, I just made normal, non-living scarecrows for the Silver Bayonet. I also made two empty wooden braces for ones that woke up and got away:
Two miniature scarecrows attached to wooden braces to keep them upright. They are tied to them with ropes. There are two empty wooden braces as well, with the ropes hanging down as if scarecrows had escaped. The bases have grass and fall leaf litter on them.

My cat has been sick for going on a week, after a vet visit and medicine she is starting to do better. I also put any hobbies on hold to make sure to be free if she needed anything or wanted to snuggle.
Since she is doing better today I finally got back to minis and started new terrain!

The last terrain from this round of small stuff: boulders! Surprisingly I’ve never made any previously, aside from the two that are in the original set of bushes I made a couple months ago. These have the rocks as the primary focus though, a simple but fun project and useful scatter.
Two medium sized pieces of terrain for table top gaming and an unpainted miniature for scale between them. The two pieces of terrain are both a large rock eith smaller rocks around them. The bases are then decorated with fall themed foliage and green turf as grass. Four small pieces of terrain and an unpainted miniature for scale. All four are various shaped small rocks. They all have fall colored foliage on their bases to match my other Silver Bayonet terrain.

The next bit of terrain is a second round of bushes. These ones I went with a slightly different internal support to give them more shape so they don’t look like a foam Twinkie. I also went with just green for these ones. I want silver bayonet stuff to be fall themed, but green can still be fall.
A set of for bushes for scatter terrain for tabletop gaming. They are made of two colors of clump foliage, one light green and one dark green. There is an unpainted miniature in the middle of them to show scale. The same miniature stands next to two bush scatter terrain. The left bush is one of the green bushes from the previous photo. The right one is one of the original bushes I made. It’s a combination of yellow, orange, and dark red clump foliage and is a uniform shaped oval lump. The green bush on the other hand has a more lumpy shape to it with one side clearly taller than the other and looking more natural.

New terrain time! Did a sort of big batch, but we’re starting with my version of the bone pit from that scene in Del Toro’s Frankenstein! I’m very happy with the results and will be a cool point of interest for the Silver Bayonet games:
A square piece of terrain for tabletop gaming. It’s a large pile of various types of bones and rocks all covered with green and yellow moss. You can also see some fall colored patches of leaf scatter and a couple small fall colored bushes as well. Next to it stands an unpainted grey miniature for scale.

My next round of minis is done for the Silver Bayonet! This time it’s some living scarecrows from Gripping Beast. Since I first read about them I wanted to make some, so I was excited to do these, plus I really like the sculpts. I even did one as a Frostgrave construct too!
A group of five angry looking scarecrows. The all have bag heads with scowling faces and yellow straw sticking out of them in spots. Instead hands it’s more straw hanging out. They all have brown or black pants and then are wearing a variety of colored shirts. The bases they are standing on all have fall foliage A singular scarecrow. This one still has the bag head with a scowl, and has a blue shirt with tan pants. It’s base has snow and brick on it like my other Frostgrave bases.

A little work in progress on upcoming terrain piece. In the Del Toro Frankenstein tut recently came out there’s a scene with the monster in the woods and he stumbles into a pit of mossy bones. And I was awestruck at the sight. So now I’m making one for the Silver Bayonet!
A square piece of terrain for miniature gaming. There are several small rocks and two larger boulders painted in greys and the ground is a brown. All across the terrain there are various types of bones littered.

Here are two Lighthawks from the newest Frostgrave expansion. They are actually North Star Figures eagles, just snipped off the fish they were holding. I’m happy with them, they were another fast paint up:
Two miniature eagles in mid-flight with some rocks behind them and more around the base. They are painted in yellow with a few lighter yellow and white dry brushes over them. On the rocks there’s faint yellow to make it look as if they are glowing and light is shining on the rocks.

Two quick Living Armors for the Silver Bayonet. I really liked the sculpt of these Reaper Miniatures guys, though one arrived damaged and broke more as painting which was strange. But I got it back together and they both look good:

Been working on some minis for my friends for xmas. trying to get them into Frostgrave, so I painted them each a wizard. I tried a few new techniques, and am happy with them. Here are the results, the one on the left is from Stonehaven miniatures, and a Northstar wizard set one for the right one:

She has several large bees on her person and is wearing leather armor and a blue tunic with green pants. The one on the right is a male wizard in a mostly black robe with some yellow and red highlights. He is holding a dagger in one hand a a staff upraised in the other. Both have some snow and grass tufts on their bases.

Alright, finally got the second round of revenants done for the Silver Bayonet. These have been painted, just hadn’t finished the bases because I was working on some minis for xmas presents. They are made from a combo of Perry miniatures and Wargames Atlantic Zombies. I am really happy with them:
A group of four miniatures. They are French napoleonic soldiers that are zombies. They are wearing a combination of long grey coats and white pants, and blue uniforms with white pants. They are all covered in red paint splattered on them. Two zombie miniatures wearing tattered grey shirts and grey pants. They both have black British soldier hats on. Covered in red paint splatters and wounds.

Well, got most of my Christmas shopping done, just a couple more things to finish up. I also got myself a new controller for my pc, since my current one has near in-useable stick drift. And I picked up some new materials for terrain making including some nice 3/16” hardboard to use for tiles.

Sorry about being quiet here, had my fall yardwork to take care of, so less hobby time. But here are finally some pictures of my first attempts at bushes for the Silver Bayonet. I’m not 100% happy with them, but they look okay:
A set of three terrain pieces and an unpainted grey miniature for scale. The one of the left and in the middle are small bushes with moss covered boulders as well. The one on the right is just a very large bush. The bushes are all colored in various yellows, oranges, and reds to look as if it’s fall and they are changing colors. A set of 5 long bush terrain pieces with the same unpainted miniature for scale. The two on the left and one in the middle are mostly colored in reds, the two on the left are mostly colored in yellows and oranges. They all kind of have the same long lump shape to them.

Here’s my first batch of revenants for the Silver Bayonet! they are a combination of Perry’s miniatures Prussians and French, and Wargames Atlantic new Zombies set. They went together super well and I am very happy with them! Also my first time painting something “historically” “accurate.”
Six zombie miniatures. The three on the left are in napoleonic French uniforms and are painted with dark blue coats and off white pants, with black shoes and hats. The right three are napoleonic Prussian uniformed zombies, in a slightly lighter blue coat with black and grey pants, boots, and hats. They all have pale greenish hued skin and are all covered in fresh and dried looking red paints. Their bases have grass and various fall colored turf on them.

here are the last two pieces of graveyard terrain, another small cluster and then a larger one that could be used as a stand alone graveyard or as a larger piece to make a huge graveyard with the others. It’s nice having more pieces for the Silver Bayonet:

Both are covered with green turf for grass, and a bunch of fall colored leaf litter and bushes in a variety of oranges and reds. In the middle of the larger piece of terrain an unpainted grey miniature is standing.

Three more pieces of graveyard terrain. The left one has five tombstones on it eith various fall colored bushes and green turf for grass covering most of it. The middle one has five tombstones but in the middle of it there is a coffin sticking partially up out of the ground. The coffin is busted open and you can see a skeleton peaking out of it. It has fall colored brush on it. The right one has just four tombstones on it but in the bottom left corner there’s a partially buried skeleton visible. There’s fall colored foliage on it.
