It’s not about facts, right or wrong, morality, ethics: it’s about the brazen ability to bash democrats over the head with something - anything - after all, it’s not hypocrisy if you never acknowledge it as such.
If a deal is dodgy when a D president’s kid does it, it’s dodgy when an R president’s kid does it, too. This includes many of Hunter Biden’s sketchy transactions that the GOP has amplified & investigated—and also Don Jr/Eric's crypto project, the Saudis "investing" $2B with Jared Kushner, etc.

Whether or not JB pardoning Hunter is right or wrong - anyone who treats the MAGA objections to it as any thing less than the vapidly dishonest pant soiling hypocrisy that it is, cannot be taken seriously as a commentator.

I find part of the problem is that criticism of these parties is often so unhinged, people are wary that any criticism - no matter how valid - would be associated with crazy.
It’s why a lack of coherent, rational opposition and focusing instead on nonsense and soundbites can be so damaging.
