Our letter calling for urgent reform of medical regulatory proceedings in @theguardian.com today.

It cannot be right that doctors who peacefully protest about the climate catastrophe face harsher disciplinary action than doctors found to be sexual predators.

This is an absolutely shambolic decision by @gmcuk.bsky.social

Suspending a doctor that cares so deeply about protecting public health that he is willing to risk his personal & professional freedoms helps no one and harms everyone.

Meanwhile California has burned down in flames.

The first practicing doctor to be imprisoned for climate protest.

He’ll then likely face suspension or worse from @gmcuk.bsky.social who remain intransigent in their determination to suspend doctors for peaceful protests.

Who on Earth does this serve?

It helps no one and harms everyone.
