“No reasonable person could convincingly argue that sexual predators are less of a risk to patient safety & trust in the profession than climate protesters, yet this is the inexplicable reality the GMC’s failing regulatory processes have left us in.”

Oh! The GMC

The same GMC ‘soft on doctors guilty of sexual assault’

So sexual assault doesn’t merit removal from the register - but peacefully protesting to save everyone on the planet’s life is

Thankyou Patrick for highlighting the climate crisis as an enormous risk to patient safety. Perhaps one day the gmc will acknowledge that your act is one of professionalism and not impairment

As a patient, carer, educator, psychologist, I’d have far more confidence in Dr Patrick as my (or anyone’s) GP than those on the tribunal who ruled to suspend him from practice. Openly raising the alarm about harm, when other actions have been disregarded, is an act of responsibility.

I've known Pat for several years. Awful news that he's suspended. Would choose him as my GP if I could. Many of his actual patients have come out in support of him. All for trying to stop the greatest harm we face.

'Most Drs spend their lives contributing to our healthcare system & caring for patients without foreseeing a time when the fundamental aims of medicine would come into conflict with the Govt, political inertia on public health policies & protecting patients. “What is the GMC trying to achieve by depriving Dr Hart the very possibility of being a doctor, for having asked to address what the GMC itself calls “one of the greatest threats to human health?”
