Hello! If you’ve stumbled on my bluesky page you might see me working on the following projects. My glam rock Cheetah, Velocity (fursuit), or my silicone dinosaur creature suit. I’ll be sharing the process here as I go along!
How does anyone use the XTC-3D stuff and actually get it smooth?? Supposed to be self leveling and all I’ve gotten is self puddling and lumping. If only all the dust and hair that’s now stuck to it would level out the surface further, I probably wouldn’t mind lol

I love sanding things smooth, adding a top coat, when every piece of dust in my and outer dimensions land on the curing surface. I could be in a sealed vacuum and dust would find a way. Kind like how flys always turn up when you’re spray painting. 10000’s of places to land and you chose my project.

Everytime I am working on the silicone stuff I am reminded by the first time I ever discovered it. How enamored I was about workin with the material. It was just so exciting to me. Course I knew nothing and I failed first go lol but it’s so cool to be able to make silicone masks after all this time!

Tried on the test fit for the silicone core- fit perfectly ; ;!! Ahh I am so excited!! Means I can go forward with making the silicone mold so I can make the core out of fiberglass!! Which hopefully means I can be sculpting Rakule’s new mask by the end of the month 🔥

Finally have a set up to do bench press safely at home. The gym has a smith machine and it’s so awkward so I haven’t tried it much there. Unsure what I can really do but I just did 107lbs no problem. Wanna practice more before going heavier, don’t wanna risk getting hurt.

This will soon be the most used tool in my work shop- it’s a back scratcher x)! Okay, maybe behind my 3D printer considering I did use it to make this haha

Saw this “foot sander” recommend a bunch for cosplay armor and yea, I see why. This thing is amazing, it’s slower than a dremel so it’s easier to control. Much more comfortable in my hands too. Came with a ton of sanding pads and was like $10.

First batch of fabric showed up! Woo! Mostly meshes but excited to make stuff with it. Also finally got the right kind of fabric for silicone. Everyone calls it power mesh and once I got the right stuff. Ran out and needed more. Every batch I got was too soft, but what I wanted was power net!!

Spooky head form. This is the resized head form @nazfx and I have been working on. I 3D printed this and just applied an epoxy coating to even the surface. Despite being spooky it’s what will hopefully make it possible to create silicone masks that fit me. If it all pans out, anything is possible.

I tried to add one small detail and ended up not liking it so…redid the top of gloves cause I am unwell and can’t leave shit alone lol

Got lots of ideas for organizing the rest of my work room. Grabbed a couple of things from ikea and now to get it all set up. Nothing terribly exciting, mostly the peg board haha.

Getting there!! Finished my chemical and 3D printer corner. Also got my AMS HT all set up. I am SO SO elated about the new work bench. It’s so high I could fit ALL of my big boxes of chemicals 😭. Now to finish organizing my desk

Love the new spot for my printer! It’s so nice and tall. I now just really need to come up with something better for this…shelf thing. It looks so messy and it’s driving me nuts

Least organizing all my chemicals I can see exactly what I have. I think I only need two things to remake Rakule’s mask. Which is just epoxy putty and fiberglass cloth. I am pretty solid other wise. Body I might need to order more free form air but I’ll get that when it’s needed.

New work bench all assembled! Now I can finally rearrange my 3D printer and all my chemicals. THEN I can finally start sculpting again. My chemical corner is a mess and I’ve been looking forward to this moment lol
