Velocity side quest: his collar. I found a cool STL file on Etsy that allows all sorts of customizing and asked my pal @nazfx.com if they print it for me. Then @paintyourdragon.bsky.social sent me some cool switches, buttons and other glowing things. So thank you friends for enabling me haha 💜

When I am coming up with ideas for a project I like to Google just random crap until something cool pops up. I’ve gone down so many rabbit holes this way. Only time it ever doesn’t work in my favor is when I find something but I gotta order a minimum of 500 lol

Listening to YouTube videos and a story pops up about a realtor that tries to pull a fast one on this guy. Just instantly made me think about the whole mess we dealt with trying to buy a house. Ugh! Clearly I still haven’t unpacked from that ordeal as now I am in a bad mood lol

Had a busy week with work so progress on Velocity has been slow. Still, I’ve managed to make some decent progress on him. I’ve lost count how many pieces and spots he’s up to now haha. But he’s getting there!

The moment I think I’ve started to get the main part of velocity’s body complete, I turn around to reveal another 20 pieces I need to trace and cut. They’re right, beauty is pain 😔

I am allergic to burlap fabric so I am trying to find an alternative for reinforcing plaster. I know hemp fibers will work but I am trying to find the right stuff. I guess it’s sisal? Unsure if there’s a right or wrong with this stuff. Worst case I’ll get burlap I suppose.

Trying to find a pattern that’s kind of like tech wear so I can make my own jacket. That way I can do custom graphics and stuff. I pondered buying something but I can’t find the color or look I am after.

This weekend I learned stars are a pain in the butt to sew haha. Thinking I might trim the fur a bit to make the star shape more apparent. I’ll decide after I get the rest sewn. Still have two more stars to sew :,)
