NYT provides no evidence here, probably because the claim is flatly untrue. See eg recent Pew data, or many posts on the subject from @gelliottmorris.com this year

So excited to read more coverage of my colleague Mike Beaudet's latest survival guide for local TV news. Covers lessons and guidance from the years-long project on how to strategize for successful digital-first video content created by digital content producers. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/12/02/b...

Media reporting has a lot to learn from public health social norms messaging. Like every story about immigrant kidnappings should start with “Americans overwhelmingly think immigration is good thing for our country”. Evidence shows defining the norm resets incorrect audience perceptions.
This is extremely important

Bystander intervention is really important to see & practice. Like if someone called a woman "piggy" in a work setting... the APPROPRIATE and NORMAL response would be to stop things & address now not OK that is. I'm hoping HR training producers add that as a case study to those trainings we all take
Leslie Jones is right - as I and others have been saying, why do reporters not react normally when the President verbally abuses them?

C+J is one of the few places where global journalists and academics gather to share methods, stories, and snacks! This year was no exception and I was delighted to present a paper on AI bias, run a workshop on data embodiment, and facilitate a few panels. Some takeaways 🧵

When Scalia rewrote the Second Amendment in Heller, I warned that he would have “blood on his hands” from the carnage he was enabling.

The Second Amendment protects a “militia” right, which was the understanding of the courts for 200 years. The “individual right” rewrite is a suicide pact.
