@popshopradio.bsky.social I enjoyed listening to the New Year's World Tour program.
I used the KiwiSDR in MA/CT for reception, but from the looks of it the signal up there was somewhat low.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Four of the eight images decoded in northern Florida, USA during Monday's 0800-0830 UTC broadcast on 5850 kHz.

@swradiogram.bsky.social A very high RF SNR receiving WRMI in northern Florida, USA gave me some very high quality image decodes!
January 3, 2026 at 11:33 PM
@swradiogram.bsky.social A fresh crop! Ah yes, it's really January 2, 2026 UTC-wise. Here are my decodes from WINB's Thursday evening broadcast, 0030-0100 UTC on 9265 kHz.
I missed the first image by tuning in late.
Images 4, 3, 2, and 1...

Too cheap to buy a dedicated HD Radio to listen to a local station's classical music channel on my home hi-fi stereo. So...
I repurposed a Raspberry Pi 4b as a Volumio Internet streaming server. It may be old hat to lots of folks here. It's an amazing piece of software!

@swradiogram.bsky.social Some images from my reception in northern Florida of Saturday's 2300z broadcast on 9455 kHz.
All images received and text decoded correctly.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Noisy images received in n. Florida and their solid-copy companions received with SDR in MA/CT from Wednesday's 1330-1400 UTC broadcast on 15770 kHz...

@swradiogram.bsky.social Just this one from my unattended reception in northern Florida, USA of the 5850 kHz broadcast.
FLDigi was left in MFSK64, no RxID with SDR# and Airspy HF+ tuned.
WRMI's signal was weak even at 9p Sunday night. I guess the band never picked up.
December 22, 2025 at 4:25 PM
@popshopradio.bsky.social Used SDR up north to record last night's broadcast. Listening to it now and lovin' it!
WRMI's signal on 5950 kHz here in n. FL had too much noise to enjoy the music.
From the looks of the image signal was dropping up there by Radiogram time.

@swradiogram.bsky.social No flakey reception at all
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄ Solid as a rock! But, I did use a KiwiSDR in MA/CT to get these illuminating results from Saturday's 2300-2330 UTC broadcast on 9455 kHz. ❄️❄️❄️= more...

@swradiogram.bsky.social My "Holiday Spectacular" of images from the Saturday (UTC) broadcast over WINB as received in northern Florida, USA.

The snowball spacers used between segments caught my eye. When I hovered over one FLDigi went 'poof' and closed abruptly.

I'll watch out for one next time.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Thursday evening's digital Festival of Lights decoded in northern Florida, USA.

@swradiogram.bsky.social 'Snow' comes to northern Florida, USA with Monday's 0800-0830 UTC broadcast in the form of poor propagation between me and WRMI in Okeechobee.
Images recovered from the backup recording.

MFSK64 text looked pretty good; maybe 98% accurate.

@kenwhite.bsky.social Switched to using KiwiSDR in MA/CT to record last night's broadcast. I'm glad I did! Great hearing "Popsicle Toes," "Evil Ways," Talking Heads!!
Adding a photo of Les & Mary at work I spotted on FB.

WRMI, a little reverb helps music/voice, but it does not help data images!
December 15, 2025 at 12:48 PM
@swradiogram.bsky.social Saturday's 2300-2330 UTC broadcast not very peppy here in northern Florida with local sunset happening around the start of the broadcast.
Missed the first two RxIDs and had to manually switch modes.

Text decoding appeared to be very good.

@swradiogram.bsky.social What's this, snowy reception in northern Florida??? NOT!!!

I saw lots of sandhill cranes flying overhead yesterday on their way south.

That's the first sign winter is truly on its way.

The next sign is seeing snowy images in Shortwave Radio programs.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Looks like 5850 kHz picked up quite a bit overnight here in northern Florida, USA.
Setting things up before going to bed, the band was looking pretty peak-ed. A pleasant surprise to see it come back to life!
Happy Monday!

@popshopradio.bsky.social Good Morning!
Reception here in n. Florida was mostly noise. No images decoded but as you can see some text squeaked through.

Interesting playlist entry:
Sounds Orchestral "Cast Your To the skud "
December 8, 2025 at 11:43 AM
@swradiogram.bsky.social Signal from WRMI dropped off some during the broadcast here in n. Florida, USA.
Screen grab of SDR# captured during closing text.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Call me a lunatic; I got howlingly good reception here in northern Florida, USA during Friday's WINB broadcast on 9265 kHz from 0030-0100 UTC.
December 5, 2025 at 2:41 AM
@popshopradio.bsky.social Just like me, the 49+ meter band went to bed early last night. I was able to decode the image and text using a backup recording.

I like the Neil Young quote about "After the Goldrush" that I got: "'I izro aóe a n P[ ¶t:F t¨K 🇬🇧 : sw?"

I'll drink to that!

@swradiogram.bsky.social Great reception last night during WINB's broadcast on 9265 kHz, 0330-0400 UTC, in northern Florida, USA.
Using a W6LVP active loop with Airspy HF+ and SDR#.
November 29, 2025 at 12:14 PM
@swradiogram.bsky.social No turkeys in this broadcast, all very clean, well saturated images.
They are from Friday's 0030-0100 UTC broadcast on 9265 kHz and received in northern Florida, USA.

@popshopradio.bsky.social Enjoyed this week's show!
"White Rabbit" still gives me goosebumps.
Missed RxID to MFSK64 at broadcast, but it worked using my recording of the 5950 kHz. broadcast. Caught the change to Olivia last night; decoded without error.
Great hearing Poppie on the show this week!

@swradiogram.bsky.social Great overnight reception in northern Florida, USA with the 'red-eye edition' broadcast over WRMI, 0800-0830 UTC on 5850 kHz.
