See, you think libertarians aren't pragmatic at all. Ever heard of Gary Johnson? Carbon tax? Protections for consumers is absolutely something that can fit inside a pragmatic libertarians principles. It isnt all dystopia/utopia.

Trade barriers were too high, there was too much focus on industrial policy and too little on innovation, he didn’t have the handle on inflation he pretended to, and the white collar job market blew. Oh, I absolutely agree that we should stand up for them. But there are lots of people being demonized right now. Our very institutions are under siege. Americans are fatigued by democratic messaging. Attacking regular normie Joe because he is ignorant is not messaging Americans need right now.
