Radical Centrism

Centrists forgot how to stand up to tyranny from the Right and the Left. Centrists forgot how to debate, and how to run effective campaigns. Centrists forgot how to have principles, and be radical.

Let's bring centrism back.

With all the talk of product shortages , I think it should be said that products will first find their way to densely populated areas first and everywhere else, last

This certainly will hurt all those red counties. How they react to their shelves being everything will define the midterms

We often think about tariffs as merely increasing prices, which is certainly bad enough. But you can also think of them as forcing regression to a less prosperous time.

Hey, I agree there are lots of libertarian assholes. There are also lots who aren't, they just aren't in your face. Anyways, precisely because of the asshole part a lot of "left leaning" pragmatic libertarians dont use the term libertarian anymore anyways.
April 16, 2025 at 3:19 PM
See, you think libertarians aren't pragmatic at all. Ever heard of Gary Johnson? Carbon tax? Protections for consumers is absolutely something that can fit inside a pragmatic libertarians principles. It isnt all dystopia/utopia.

Im sure the prison will somehow magically "expand" without any actual buildings being constructed... horrible.

Here’s a satellite image of the El Salvadorian concentration camp that Trump urged President Bukele to expand yesterday—to be able to hold up to 200,000 US citizens.

Since then, this image has reportedly been censored on Google Earth.

Take a look.

What do you see?

There are two kinds of libertarians: Those who oppose the state because they reject hierarchy and oppression, and view the state as the main tool for imposing both, and those who oppose the state because they support hierarchy and oppression and view the state as the main barrier to achieving both.

I identified myself as the first. There are actually a lot of us. I also completely reject anarchy.

I think the 2nd type is way louder than the first type, and this is why a misconception exists.
April 16, 2025 at 7:25 AM
Man, so many people are pathetically aggressive to libertarianism but make no attempt to understand any of it. If you never found evidence, then you are blind.

After Trump puts the world on fire with a massive trade war, he goes to play golf with his Saudi friends. Again.

I like to say to my friends:

Nero plays golf, while Rome burns.

Let’s be clear; a lot of Biden economic policy sucked. Trade barriers were too high, there was too much focus on industrial policy and too little on innovation, he didn’t have the handle on inflation he pretended to, and the white collar job market blew. None of that is half the disaster Trump’s is.

I understand what you are saying. I even agree, to an extent. But what would help Trans people the most? More pointed memes that ostracize normie american voters, or winning elections?
April 3, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Oh, I absolutely agree that we should stand up for them. But there are lots of people being demonized right now. Our very institutions are under siege. Americans are fatigued by democratic messaging. Attacking regular normie Joe because he is ignorant is not messaging Americans need right now.
April 3, 2025 at 4:38 PM
You clearly dont have one. You focus on ridiculous virtue signaling instead of logical analysis of an elected person's performance.
April 3, 2025 at 4:19 PM
I was knocking on doors for Josh Weil this past weekend.

We didnt win, which sucks. But what sucks more is coming to bluesy and seeing that so many Democrats are still oblivious to what Americans need.

Im real doomer mode right now.

We also talk about the 1% like they are the 99%.

Maybe, juuuust maybe, there's a correlation there.
