Val Kilmer changed my life when I saw nerds be clever and fun in “Real Genius”. It gave me hope that my people were out there. I found them. #RIPValKilmer

You know those times you look up from reading a post-apocalyptic book and realize “It’s not the apocalypse. I’m just in a burger joint”? It’s like that.

HERETIC is a masterpiece of modern horror. Creepy, taut, brilliantly written. Hugh Grant takes all of his acting ticks and tricks that usually make him so charming and turn them on their ear, making him positively diabolical. Beck and Woods deft hands show so much needed restraint. So fucking good.

We just saw the total eclipse. The clouds parted just a little while. The corona - it was amazing. While it was happening I was so giddy I just kept laughing.

This is not exactly what we want to be seeing at the Long Center eclipse party. But it’s been peeking out some.

I’ve seen the big movies lately, all fun, but the one you should catch, now or in the streaming hereafter, is #Problemista - fun satire with great performances. And just enough poignancy to really satisfy. C’mon - take a break from the worm-riding Godzillabusters!

1st attempt at blueberry pancakes using waffle mix. 1st round were “crepes” before we got the mix right. Delicious though.

I’d forgotten how wet torrential rain really is. Also, I have learned to distrust those cheap umbrellas in the checkout aisle.

This is the most entertaining reply thread I've read in a while.
What's the craziest thing you've found in a lab cupboard or freezer from a previous group?

Oh boy, did we find a shocker in the -80 yesterday 😬😱😷
