2 more New Yorkers have died in flooded basement after 11 perished in this horrible and preventable way in 2021. NYC needs both more affordable housing options & code enforcement to prevent this from ever happening again. abcnews.go.com/US/submerged...

HEY BROOKLYN! Don’t get it twisted - Proposals 2 through 5 are about keeping us here - NOT displacing us. Joyelle has all the details.

Everybody knows the rent is too damn high — and only special interests benefit from keeping it that way.

Time to debunk the lies and state the facts🧵

Power is being clung to at the expense of housing for working New Yorkers.

We break down what Props 2-5 are really about with Morgan McKay — cutting red tape and delivering affordable housing.

Get the facts — flip your ballot and vote YES on Props 2-5!

Great piece from @errollouis.bsky.social on why voters should say YES on 2, 3, 4 & 5! Love that he cited @thenyhc.bsky.social NYC Housing Tracker data! Excited to share updated data next week!

140,000 homeless school kids. 1/100 homes actually available. 200,000 Black residents lost since 2000. 50% of renters + homeowners under water.

We're out of time & excuses. We need more homes for working New Yorkers now.

Vote YES on Props 2-5 for a city we can all afford.

Winning the lotto is pretty unlikely - so is getting an apt you can afford when 6M New Yorkers are in a lottery for 10K apartments. We need to build: faster, cheaper, and more affordably. That’s why we need to vote YES on Props 2-5 on Nov. 4.

Shameful.

New York needs supportive housing. These 80+ homes have been delayed for too long— @Council.nyc.gov should approve them anyways.
New: First Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro ordered city officials to not testify at a Council hearing today about a Bronx housing project for ex-inmates, per sources. This comes after we first reported Mastro has been trying to derail the plan, which Adams used to back.

How can @mayor.nyc.gov allow his housing record to be disgraced- 1st by canceling Elizabeth St & now Just Home? It’s outrageous to reverse on a project by HIS OWN agency w/ a highly respected nonprofit. I couldn’t be more disappointed. Can NYC Council save it? 😔

This is a good op-ed and a good update on why the adminstrators of our democratic process are about to do an underhanded assault on our democracy. Shame on the Board of Elections if they go through with it.

There was already a long list of reasons Frank Seddio is unfit to be a BOE commissioner.

This sort of backroom dealing with Republicans in order to block voters from having their say is a perfect illustration.
