When are we gonna stop with this bullshit?

The problem is: half the country thinks the problem is income inequality, healthcare, the rising cost of living, and underfunding public education.

And the other half thinks the problem is immigrants, trans folk, and not enough low wage factory jobs.
Shaheen: "When I talk to my constituents in New Hampshire, you know what they say to me? They say, 'Why can't you all just work together to address the problems that are facing this country?'"

Bluesky is extra spicy this morning I see.

Look, I hate it too. Healthcare is broken. Costs on everything keep going up. The government is mostly broken.

But sometimes you have to accept your losses.

If MLS can’t convince fotmob to display a three game series correctly I dunno that they should be doing this format.

Fotmob’s brackets show aggregate scores of the three games. Aggregate score is totally irrelevant. I’m annoyed.

PA has temporarily restored SNAP benefits.

So next week my daily ‘instead-of-lunch’ donations will go to the Food Bank of the Rockies in Colorado.

Went out to Hounds final tune-up before their second round match in the USL playoffs and got some good quotes.

Winter, notsomuch.

Just donated to my local food bank. Gonna try and eat only canned goods rice and beans from my pantry everyday till SNAP is restored, and donate what I would have spent on lunch to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.

It’d be great if, instead of this, the Federal government actually worked, tho.

I always avoid reading Ross Douthat's work in the NYT.

And with his piece 'Did liberal feminism ruin the workplace?' I am continuing that tradition.

(Why the hell does this man still have a job?)

Re: USMNT’s best GK.

Bring back Sean Johnson.
I feel like Schulte could be our number one if given the chance. Turner’s our 1 or 2.

However, the ACTUAL best gks in the pool since May are Sean Johnson, Matt Turner, Brad Stuver, Matt Freese, and Roman Celentano.

1) Ricardo Pepi is back!

2) Auston Trusty is back!

3) Jedi Robinson, Weston McKennie, Tim Weah, Christian Pulisic out. That's a lot of quality we're missing.

4) Josh Sargent: healthy, left out.

5) I really don't know what calling up Gio Reyna accomplishes. Shoulda used his spot on a newbie.
Our final roster of the year is here! 🇺🇸⚽️

25 players have been called up for matches against Paraguay on Nov. 15 and Uruguay on Nov. 18! 👇

Be careful what you wish for.

Democrats wanted to end the filibuster when they had a slim majority. Now they love it. Based on recent election results, the Senate flipping back to blue seems like a definite possibility in 2 or 4 years.

Lived there from 2006-2011.

Hated this fountain. Thought it was the ugliest thing ever.

Also, I think I only saw it function as a fountain once.

Just let me and Doyle chair a constitutional convention.

We’d fix the US government AND restructure the US Soccer pyramid all in one go.
Go from 9 to 18 and the longest-tenured justice retires every two years. Single 18-year terms.

Every president gets to appoint two, the make-up of the court is always evolving, and you avoid having justices who are too young or too old.
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

A Year Below Expectation
The 2025 Rapids were constructed by Pádraig Smith and led by Chris Armas in search of a trophy. The team fell well short. Here's HTHL's after-action report of what went wrong this year.

We’re like six months into Trump and his essential action items to accomplish seem to be:

he’s gonna run around striking trade deals with countries, one by one, to lower tariffs he created

while people go hungry

and migrants are deported

and prices go up

and healthcare becomes unaffordable
