Completely agree - this is very much not cheating!

Given the halfpipe maintainers are called slippers, this lends more weight to my argument that Winter Games should actually be called the Slippery Olympics.

Winter Olympics 2026: Halfpipe slippers riding down in formation
The slippers, who are responsible for smoothing the halfpipe inbetween runs, have been getting creative and enjoying their moment in the spotlight.

@davidstrathdee.bsky.social A glorious fourth in the curling earlier. Couldn't be more proud.

Incredible scenes!

Are we saying the best place to finish in this table is also fourth?

It's the third-place-play-off all over again...

Looking forward to this! I enjoyed Mystwood Mansion.

When you really think about it, this is really the Slippery Olympics.

I do wish there was a way to get better sound in this Oympic Ceremony and hear the stadium sound and not have the commentary over the top.

I want to hear the things going on but if I turn the telly up then I get defeated by the commentators!

My main use for it was official languages of the world - dunno where to look for those now. I'm aware it'll be a much bigger problem for others...

Happy February to you!

Have had one - it is a big procedure, a bit worse than a filling, way better than an extraction. The worst part in a way is just how long it takes as it's a bit more involved, and one of the hardest bits will be keeping your mouth open that long! Good luck, good sir.

Y'all don't need to like Epic or the Epic Games Store, but if you can't afford Botany Manor, it's free over there for the next week, and it's a cozy Myst-like game where you puzzle out how to take scraps of journal entries and use them to properly grow plants. Very enjoyable, and even a bit tricky!

I've just started Platonic and I'm really liking it. Very funny - I'm not quite a fan of the more cringy comedy moments but the chemistry between Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne is absolutely fantastic.

I'm now live on Twitch solving at least one cryptic crossword - depending on how long THE ROAD NOW TAKEN takes.

Fans of unusual grid layouts will love this one...
