I watched Trump's press conference on Venezuela, and the excuse was drugs, they captured Maduro but the real reason was the US wanted to control the Venezuelan oil. I knew he would go in for the oil, and my fears were confirmed. Also, they didn't go through Congress to declare war, so it's unlawful.
