go to bsky.app/settings/lan... and deselect any language from this setting, or else you might not see any of the new japanese users at all!

Wip wednesday for Chap 3 of postcanon Modern!

Even when the cracks of trauma start to heal, the nightmares will continue to lurk.

Desolate. That was how everything felt before him. Little stood in the way of landscape, the air around him clouded and blurry, a downcast grey surrounding him on all sides. He couldn't make out building nor human, save for a singular figure standing before him. A familiar frame of a cloaked shadow, shrouded by the mist. Something familiar, Jayce moved forward, reaching out for them. He found himself clothed in familiar garb of a long lost time. Red and gold adorning white finery, Piltovan in design, and something long since lost to him. It made him sick to see, if he were to be honest. He pulled his hand back, before surging forward, stumbling over his own feet as he pushed past the mist, expecting to see faded grey tarnished with oil-slick pinks and violets. Instead, as the figure grew cleared, he saw a lanky figure cloaked in blue, shrouded in lost comfort, turned away and looking out into the vast expanse. Jayce slowed himself once he was close, scared that any sudden movement would startle the person before him. It wasn't the Mage, of that he could be certain. After all, the Mage was man that was no more, sacrificed so that they may live. "Viktor?" Jayce asked, his voice echoing, though he saw no walls for the sound to bounce off of. He once more reached forward, hands carefully placed on thin shoulders as he turned the figure around. He would have taken a step back, shock hitting him at what he saw, but the terror of the situation locked him into place. Short chestnut hair surrounded a face adorned with beauty marks, but where there should have been golden irises staring back him lay two shimmer-pink orbs devoid of sclera and pupil, tracking his own face. Hexcorized decay ran up the length of a pale neck, along gaunt cheekbones, breaking away and leaving hollow rot in its wake. "You did this." Viktor's voice was wrong, distorted and reverberating in the hollow of a chest now concave. Bony metal hands reached out, grasping at Jayce's arms as mist cleared away. As it faded, it left behind in it's wake the vast crevasse, a ravine ravenous for it's pound of flesh, bottomless in its void. "You ruined me." Viktor's voices slowly changed, taking on the robotic echo of the Herald as the rot ate away Viktor's features. "This is your sin to bare." Jayce could only watch as Viktor latched on, strength inhuman as he tilted back. He tried to open his mouth, to beg Viktor not to plummet, to let Jayce take his place. Instead, he could only scream as the plummeted into the abyss.

WIPWednesday! Since I managed to power through and get chapter ones of most of the fics I had planned for #Jayvik horror week, I am once again back to medical angst with my cpr fic, Resus Room!

Was hoping to get this done in time for #Jayvik horror week day 10, but alas, it is not in the cards, so have this WIP instead!
