I bylined a piece for the Lemkin Institute regarding the mass graves imaged by satellite on CECOT grounds.

This is a functioning death camp that we are still sending humans to.

We must not look away from this.

Has the Times ever been on the right side of things before there was no other choice?
This is how the New York Times sums up Trump’s term so far.

If only Kevin McA had done what needed to be done back in NYC in '92, we might be in a very different world

This person should probably learn to say more than just "the cream". What kind of cream are we talking? Sprayed out of a can, from a freezer carton like cool whip, freshly whipped from real cream? Or do you mean just plain cream poured on top?

If you don't describe what you hate, how can we help?
I remember I was telling this one american dude that I hate strawberry shortcake here because I dread the taste of the cream. He kept on going on how I had a bad experience BUT I HAVE TRIED EATING VARIOUS SHORTCAKES, THEY ALL TASTE BAD. I JUST HATE THE CREAM THAT IS POPULAR HERE.

Phil Ochs said it perfectly 60 years ago. "It's always the old who lead us to the wars, it's always the young who die". No more wars. Not in Venezuela, not anywhere.

I'm starting to think a lot of people doom-posting about Trump and how his victories are inevitable are really on his side

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

You ever have that thing where you see something moving out of the corner of your eye, but there's nothing there when you turn your head?

Well, in my case just now, it's because there was an ant crawling on the frame of my glasses. No thank you!

I really enjoy when I ask the AI a question about my codebase and it spends 2 minutes thinking before giving me the "git grep" command I already ran before I asked the AI.

I assume it's because everyone in the administration has donkey brain, either from alcoholism, dementia, or just being a braying yes man
Is there some reason Hegseth and Trump chose to target the former astronaut, fighter pilot who's wife was a member of congress who survived getting shot in the head in an assassination attempt?

amazing new squirrel tailstyle just dropped #sqrlpix
Janet dropped by the porch roof cafe today after visiting the beauty shop for a snack and a chance to show off the latest trend in tail sculpting. The "floof funnel" sparks controversy (read: jealousy) in some squirrel dens, but when done correctly it's sexy, sassy, and striking.

I just realized, after half a decade, that my Nord keyboard (the red one all the cool kids play) can fit under my adjustable desk if I raise it just a teensy bit higher than I normally prefer.

Now I can practice my music while I wait for my code to compile and tests to run. Game. Changer.

ICE in Portland detained comedian Robbie Roadsteamer yesterday. Every comedian should go to their nearest ICE facility and roast them mercilessly. My wife was down there yesterday and he wasn't doing anything besides being an obnoxious Boston guy.
