🧪 the new proposed budget cuts to NSF - and other federally-funded orgs including NIH, NASA, NOAA, USGS - show that the future of scientific research #WithoutNSF in the US is in peril

it is more important than ever to contact your representatives to #SaveNSF
75 years after its founding, NSF is now in peril - #WithoutNSF, we might not have the knowledge, innovations, and societal benefits we do today, just a few of which are listed in this thread

#SaveNSF so that US & international scientists working in the US can continue this important work
HAPPY 75th, NSF!

We’re celebrating this milestone by highlighting some of NSF’s most transformative accomplishments—innovations that have shaped our world and continue to drive progress in health, technology, the environment, and beyond.

How bad will it be? Catastrophic.

Proposed cuts to #NSF, #NIH, and #NASA will set the US R&D landscape back 25 yrs+, cause economic and job loss now, and undermine innovations to come.

But, this is the WH's *proposed* budget.

Speak up now before it is too late.
