When I was on Medicaid during COVID, it’s because my dad died, I lost my job, I moved home after living overseas for a decade, and I had a severe mental health crisis. It gave me time to feel better instead of just continuing the burnout.

Btw, Tourette’s was first identified in 1885, Narcolepsy in 1880, ADHD as far back as 1798 (although more clearly in 1902), and Autism Spectrum Disorder in 1911. So, yeah, they did exist when he was a kid.

I didn’t truly realize this until I went to the museum of African-American History and Culture and learned that Utah had segregation and anti miscegenation laws on the books. And red lined neighborhoods. Not just for Black people though, mostly
for Asians, Chinese laborers who built the railroads.

This is the thing I don't think people understand. The US has been so much worse than this & a lot of people were okay with it because it wasn't hitting their communities. Now it is on deck for everyone. White people better get in the field on the front lines
