When I don't like a popular book, I still try to see what others saw when they rated it a 5🌟 because I want to understand their tastes better.

I just finished God of the Woods by Liz Moore and I was not as entranced as a lot of people are. I didn't hate it, but it was not a 5 for me.

My hair only consents to being cute when we are not going to leave the house so I can share it with anyone.

Have you ever read a book that was so thoroughly disappointing that you didn't even want to remember you read it?

Finished a crime drama last night. Not even worth talking about all my problems with the book. I spent more than half the audiobook rolling my eyes. #booksky

I have finally, for the first time since the series started, caught up on the Stormlight Archive. I finished Wind and Truth last night after a marathon reading session of more than 10 hours.

Im still kind of processing.

It struck me today that every work of dystopian fiction I've ever read involves a future without books. Maybe that's all it takes.

When I can't create because my wrists and shoulders hurt, I go back and look at things I've made in the past. This sweater is beautiful, I only wish it were colder here so I could wear it more often. Maine was a lot colder so I could justify making thick wool sweaters more often.

Hyperfocus is fine until you miss meds doses, lunch breaks, and come out of the focus forgetting what day it is.

Really glad I have a partner who can help keep me grounded in reality when I need to be.

There was a bit of an earthquake last night just before I fell asleep that filled me with adrenaline. Except it was such a small rumbling one my husband didn't even register that there was an earthquake. Kiwis are laid back when it comes to *everything* apparently. 😂

I've been contemplating a few bookish things lately: a book club for short(ish) speculative science fiction, a video series of rapid reviews of books, and the really popular book blanket project people seem to be casting on all over the place lately. Now I just need the energy to start.
