An illegal waste dump near Wigan is on land largely owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, the King’s extensive private portfolio of properties and estates.

The government’s suggestion that rolling out 20 minute courses on writing “AI“ prompts, sponsored by Google, Microsoft and Amazon, is somehow comparable to the founding of the Open University (the Wilson government‘s, & Jennie Lee’s, proudest achievement), is an insult to our human intelligence.

Keir Starmer often takes 2-3 days to issue very mild criticism of US actions. This is both direct and issued fast.
I think there is a serious risk that the US miscalculated quite what a big deal the Greenland thing is to Europe (and in Europe).

If only there was as much effort put into improving youth services, making sports, arts and crafts available and affordable, and making the physical environment more 'teen-friendly' as there is for banning kids from social media or taking their phones away.

Folks in the US might like to know that despite Musk and Trump's lies London remains much safer than US cities and is getting safer. It hasn't required out of control ICE agents to shoot anyone to achieve this.

Cops are taught not to shoot into cars. ICE keeps doing it anyway.
Immigration agents have shot at least nine people since September. All of them have been in cars.
