This is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.

I’ve been a fan of Elie Mystal’s 29 justice Supreme Court plan for a while.
This is actually the easiest option. Term limits are one of the few things that the constitution specifically prohibits and would almost certainly need an amendment (good luck with that)

It’s pretty alarming how quickly the admin is plainly claiming that 1) the administration doesn’t need congress to do war 2) that the us is the court of the world and 3) that so many media outlets have fallen in line (not new but very bad)
