Well I've finally finished university. I'm glad I can finally delegate my time to creative projects I care about and take control of my education. It's exciting but also overwhelming. I wish the times we live in were less uncertain so I can properly enjoy this lol

I'm so glad that I'm only a few days a way from (hopefully) being done with classes until grad. Then I can do what I want, write, read books and work on my podcast. I might even work on my csm fanfic just to blow off steam

Something I think is worth saying is that you don't always need to know what your art means. Creating it is enough, other people are just as capable of interpreting it. The emotions that go into it are often more important than a driving message as an abstract creation

Constructive criticism for liberals: never let reactionaries(Republicans) set the boundaries of the conversation. If they give you a yes or no, blow through it. If they call people 'welfare queens', don't try to call them hypocrites, deny the existence of welfare queens. Stop fighting on their turf.

Something that helps me is realizing that they're only fighting this hard because they're losing. They can't let people think, or speak, or see us because when they do they believe in our humanity. Their denial of reality is a bubble that will have to pop eventually.
I remember once feeling hopeful about the world and progress, but the past 5-6 years especially have almost entirely knocked that out of me. I *want* to be excited for the future. I *want* to believe we'll all be fine, but then you see a glimpse of the rot and I can't help but feel scared

I strongly encourage readers of indie queer and especially trans books to start using itchio as more of us authors move away from Amazon. Authors get a bigger cut, you can tip, and, most importantly, you will actually own your ebooks instead of just licensing them from Amazon.

I hope in the future we look back at the privacy crisis we're in the same way we look at prohibition. The government and other institutions vastly overreached in their control of our lives and behavior and after decades of bullshit we finally got sick of it and then can laugh about how crazy it was

I wish I had someone or somewhere to talk about philosophy and metaphysics other than just taking notes and refining ideas until I conceivably have enough for a book that noone but philosophy nerds a hundred years from now would even know about
