So today's distracting performative piffle is plastic straws? While the orange clown baby has his hands in the till?

On 22 January, GB News presenter Josh Howie repeated a homophobic slur linking the LGBTQ+ community to paedophilia. This is offensive, wrong and unlawful. Join me and @GoodLawProject to file a complaint to Ofcom  action.goodlawproject.org/ofcom-stop-g...
Ofcom, stop GB News broadcasting hate
*CW: Homophobia, hate speech GB News is no stranger to spouting hatred and toxic lies. They take pride in it, and pretend the rules don’t matter. But they do. And they must be enforced. On 22 January,...

To be honest, given the election result, I kind of assumed the US didn't actually have a Department of Education anyway.

Happy Brexit Day (2).

Why did immigration *increase* after Brexit, and what do w know about the economic and the labour market impacts?

Officially pointless posting anything of value on Zuck's platforms now that he's the orange clown baby's fucktoy.

Concentration camps at Guantanamo? Don't tell folk about that, they don't need to know.

Oof. If only there was some historical precedent where a narcissistic megalomaniac sent an entire ethnic group to a "camp" to rid a nation of a perceived sickness.

It's a school night so I need my son to get to bed.

But, football is on. England vs Switzerland. He loves watching.

I think - he can listen on the radio! Surely there's a channel, maybe even on the BBC like 5 Live Sports Extra subchannel 45C.

Could we just stop employing talentless f**kwit men of a certain age to shout endlessly on telly, please? That would be a start.

Also, f**k off Gregggggg.

The usual c**ts are whining about people "not having a sense of humour" any more after Gregg Wallace eventually got found out.

I think they'd lose their sense of humour really fast if some letchy bloke tried to feel them up.

Especially the men.

The problem is the readership will have a firm false idea planted into their heads already, despite the truth. Sounds familiar.
Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson attempting to.....incite confusion???
Who'd have thought it

Essex Police has now reported the paper to IPSO
Allison Pearson: Police told me I was "accused of a non-crime hate incident".

Essex police bodycam footage: "It’s gone down as an incident or offence of potentially inciting racial hatred online. That would be the offence."

There are three houses in our little cul-de-sac.

The numbers aren't particularly clear so, occasionally, couriers either deliver to the wrong house or ask which house is which. I'm often WFH so get a lot of the queries.

Mostly, they ask which one is number 2 and my brain can't comprehend this.

It's extraordinary, really, how opaque this is yet so impenetrable for some people to comprehend.
Inevitably the same people who lost their shit over Starmer receiving a free concert ticket are now losing their minds because he turned down free membership of a golf course.

More than a million pallets of unusable Covid PPE, costing £8.6 billion, have so far gone up in smoke

Billions of pounds were spent on completely unusable protective equipment, with a series of priority contracts handed to associates of Conservative ministers

Ok, this feels a bit like being on Twitter in 2008.

Right. So that's me off to bed.

The reason Alex Scott should get a shot at presenting Match of the Day is that she's absolutely qualified to do it and would be great at it by all accounts.

There's a bit of me, though, that wants her to get the job simply because it'll piss off a lot of fragile men.

Spent my drive in to work and back listening to the news around the Grenfell disaster.

Utterly horrifying.

For me, the root cause is the notion that some people are "worth less than me".

It's an attitude that started with Thatcher and has gained ever more traction since.

Utterly horrifying.
