Czech President Petr Pavel has forgotten his country's history: it was the 'painful concessions' made to the Nazis that led to its dissolution and subsequent annexation. Incorporating one of Europe's most modern armies into the Wehrmacht allowed the Nazis to invade Poland together with the Russians.
Ukraine faces ‘painful concessions’ on path to peace, Czech president says
Ukraine will likely have to agree to “painful concessions” if it hopes to end the Russo–Ukrainian war, Czech President Petr Pavel said during his Kyiv visit on Jan. 16.

Even if you oppose the policies, to call them needless when Ru weaponizes and propagandizes Ru-speakers to justify its aggression against its neighbours is clueless privilege, not an analytical position.
