We're currently asking for help raising enough money to pay a debt we accrued several years back, when we were evicted from our first place together here. Over the past year or two, Maya's wages have been getting garnished in order to pay the debt off. This has made it very hard to have enough money to cover bills, groceries and other living experiences comfortably. an additional thought, (mostly) completely unrelated to any of the above navel-gazing: if the two versions of this character did somehow chance to meet each other, with a full mutual understanding of everything the other one has been through............ they would 100% start beating the shit out of each other. like, IMMEDIATELY, without question. addison!v because of the other guy's (co-)dependency on another person, even just ONE other person, which he perceives as an intolerable, unforgivable weakness...... and viera!v because, simply, "you did WHAT??? to WHO??? NO I DON'T CARE IF HE DESERVED IT WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU??? AND HE MURDERED YOU FOR IT??? ARE YOU STUPID??? ARE YOU LIKE ACTUALLY STUPID??? WHAT IS ACTUALLY WRONG WITH YOU??? HOLD STILL I'M GONNA KILL YOU AGAIN" the other pair of expies, the swatchling and his counterpart au ra, both stand on the sidelines and watch in uncomfortable silence, neither one willing to step in and separate the two because it seems like maybe they really just need to get this out of their system(s).

had some OC thoughts which got waaaaay way too long-winded to post normally on bsky (you'd think that would clue me in to cut it out but i am, as ever, the irrepressible yapper) hum de dum
about violet of course (gesturing obviously at the tags). more specifically though i'm thinkin all about the two different versions of him that exist now, between deltarune and ffxiv, and even more specifically than that i'm thinkin about the ways in which they ARE different and yet also still the same like, for starters: addison!v went through a horrifically traumatic life-altering event, and his primary method of coping with that (aside from spending the following years of his life tracking down every person responsible and torturing them to death) was to isolate himself, and to keep isolating himself, further and further and further until the only people around him at any given moment of the day were violent criminals who he couldn't even fully trust not to turn on him at some point (and probably WOULD have turned on him eventually, given his only methods of keeping them in line were based in intimidation and his own capacity to do violence, had it not been for. well. you know lol). who else did he have in his life that he felt he could trust? certainly not the other addisons, except for blue, but he managed to even push blue away in the end, leaving him with nothing and no one to even try turning him away from the path of self-destruction... and then there's viera!v, who went through a similarly horrifically traumatic life-altering event (but didn't have the luxury of taking years to get his revenge because he kind of took them all out in one fell swoop (whoops)), and is similarly isolated -- if not even MORE isolated than the other guy, because he doesn't even have someone like blue around to help him recover from the immediate aftermath; from the time he escapes his situation all the way up until he makes his way to eorzea, he is completely on his own -- and traveling down basically the same path from self-isolation to self-destruction... except that he does, if only by accident, stumble into a support network -- a support network that consists of exactly one person, but that one person is someone who will not let go for any goddamn reason, who will not let himself be pushed away no matter how badly v lashes out at him, no matter how much v kicks and bites and fights and screams about it. like, this v still doesn't take care of himself in the ways that truly matter, he still engages in self-destructive habits and patterns of thought, and if left fully to his own devices then he would probably also be living in a derelict safehouse surrounded only by sycophantic goons...but he has ONE person, just the one, a weirdly co-dependent barnacle of a person, who, for SOME reason, a mystery to literally everybody but the man himself, cares enough about him not to let that happen. maybe that's what addison!v really needed (needs?) after all: someone who's stubborn enough not to be pushed away; someone who's brave enough not to flee. someone, just one person, to derail him when he spirals, to keep him from fixating on his hatred, the same hatred that warped his entire worldview and ultimately led to his death. maybe............... (looks ahead at some of the stuff i'm still writing for archive.7z) well. i guess we'll see!!! lol
