Decent gym session yesterday, made better with At The Gates.

Slaughter Of The Soul is a perfect album, from the starting note to the end.

Two books for spooky season:
COFFIN MOON, Keith Rosson: Best modern vampire story ever (although it's set in the 70s).
THE TWISTED ONES, by T. Kingfisher: It lures you in with chatty good humor (especially about NPR Pledge Week) and a lovely dog...then slams the door and bites you in the dark.

What an amazing night last in The Phoenix Park for the #BikeDisco. Over 700 people turned out, got dressed up & rocked around the Park.

Such a feel good & positive celebration of cycling for Dublin. Thanks to the team at @ibike.ie for bringing the music & all the staff who got us around safely

Excellent book by @neurograce.bsky.social , accessible but not dumbed down. The math takes a back seat during a tour of important historic and current research in neuroscience. Even if you know parts of the story you may find new insights and connections. GL has a good nose for neurononsense.

Fun fact: Bluesky is outperforming Twitter on conversions for my Kickstarter by 900%.

Despite it having the most followers of any platform for me, Twitter is converting at lower numbers than EVERY OTHER social media platform I'm using (Facebook, Threads, Instagram, Bluesky).

A small fire at the front of the bookshop was started last night after rubbish bags that were awaiting collection were set on fire. The guards don’t have reason at this time to believe it was a targeted attack. Thankfully the damage was limited and everyone is safe. We are open for business as usual
