Sounds really basic but solely making art with the expectation of popularity + success will poison the well of your artistic spirit, and you wonโt really develop an artistic voice if youโre just trying appease your audience at all times, save for a voice that actually isnโt yours

Fandom needs interaction to thrive, if u want to keep enjoying art, fic, edits, animations, silly little hcs, and all of that gud stuff, give some of the love back that creators pour out for you, fandom shouldn't be /content/ to mindlessly consume, let it be a dialogue of love and appreciation ๐โจโค๏ธ
I think a big fandom shift in interacting with stuff has gone from people commenting under the created thing whether it be fic or art to people linking it in private discord groups where the person who made it will never see any positive comments left on the thing they made.
