In-person, all day meetings are completely pointless. Repetition of topics, circular conversations, overrunning sessions, not to mention the time to commute to a “central” location for staff spread across 6 counties. 85% of the content could have been an email

So today I had to tell my team that 1 of them (4 people in my team) will be made redundant before Christmas, I’ve been on and off calls all day with them in tears. Timing is atrocious and a horrible decision to have to make. Send hugs
This week is going to suck, can’t be fixed by positive thinking or distractions. It’s just going to suck
