Twitter is useful solely to counter disinformation and its former use as a personalized social media is dead. if you use it you should use it like 4chan: anonymous, attack, insult etc. Hit it with spam bots; make it un-usable. But nobody who wasnt already on twitter is trying it anymore, its dead.
"Don't go on Twitter" is not the correct or appropriate response to realizing that Twitter contains is a neo-Nazi community tens of thousands strong that has fully captured the United States executive branch. Not going there doesn't solve any problem
… have we convinced you to drop X yet?

This video has inspired me to go pick up a biography about Harriet Tubman. I had no idea how much she had done, the history I was taught made it sound like she was little more than a guide, but it turns out she was way more badass.

Let’s talk a bit about what you, an average German newspaper reader in 1933, would have learned about Hitler’s rise to power. Let’s assume you read the “Vossische Zeitung”, a comparatively liberal middle-class newspaper. In modern times, the Berlin State Library library let’s you read it online: 1/

The final piece of advice I would like to give to new folks tonight is that Bluesky will be what you make of it. When I came over from the former Twitter, I resolved to be more kind to others here than I was over there. That choice has made being here so much better. Keep it in mind for yourself.

@reckless.bsky.social ’s endorsement of Harris is probably the best political endorsement I’ve read in at least a decade. Perfectly summarizes the stakes of the election on specific day-to-day challenges.
A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for school shootings and measles
Trump doesn’t care about any of this.
