Literacy educator. Proud aunt. Dog mom. The family photographer. Crochets for self-preservation.
I just learned she is married to Carson (Downton Abbey) and that they have one child, Prudence Featherington (Bridgerton).
That blew my mind.

I am with you. And I’ve felt heartbroken all day thinking about the campers. It’s too much.

Love that Elizabeth Warren says “we use our words” in a democracy. Obviously a former educator.

I'm on my way to the Senate floor to talk about the assault on my colleague, Senator Alex Padilla.

This is a horrifying moment in our nation’s history.

He’s going to “launch an investigation.” Ugh.

How about we challenge those who become preoccupied with so-called “violent protests” with a reminder about the greater threat posed by government entities committing violence against the people.

I could not be more grateful for the joy @maddow.msnbc.com provides with her re-enactments of the courtroom interactions between Trump administration attorneys and the judges questioning their illegal acts and lies.

I’m going to guess Shakespeare’s “Twelth Night” would be misspelled if it was not censored for that gender identity “nonsense.” Geez. And we really needed Florida’s governor to have a seat of honor at that Dept. of Education dismantling circus. Because . . . stellar.

I keep thinking of kids who filed complaints about civil rights violations. Those will just disappear.

Gross. Using children for their propaganda. Why am I not surprised.
March 20, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Dismantling the Dept. of Education is ableist, classist, racist, and greedy, greedy, greedy. Oh, and lack of care for children is just immoral.

It’s strange to enjoy yeast rolls and honey butter in a Texas Roadhouse while the television flashes images of our descent into authoritarianism.

We definitely do not need anyone too slick.

And then hold a Shadow Government address, the first of many, on the Capitol steps. Steal the attention. He hates that.

Officials working really hard to avoid real work. Seriously, if people are so concerned with waste why are they not ready to give do-nothing elected officials the boot? We pay them for performing and preening in front of cameras for only their own gain.

I can only imagine the utter confusion young students in America must feel right now when we continue to read coming-of-age stories celebrating the unique protagonist who stands up to the more popular but obviously misguided bully, or when we teach character lessons about respect and humility.

My representative. You should see the ridiculous response I got from him about all the money Musk is “saving.” Think he missed the point that he had ceded his power.
February 26, 2025 at 11:39 PM
My congressman began listing all the ways Elon Musk would save us money. I will be expressing to him that the point is his willingness to allow their “saving money” venture to happen illegally.
February 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM
And why is that not the pushback by all journalists? They need to keep asking why elected officials are willing to give up their power.
