(FYI, Nick Offerman played the Ron Swanson character he’s referencing.)
A screenshot of a tweet by actor Nick Offerman replying to a tweet from Michael Flynn Jr. Offerman’s tweet reads: “Ron was best man at a gay wedding you dumb fuck. #HappyPride” followed by a link. Flynn Jr.’s tweet, shown beneath, says: “Good morning and Happy Sunday! No quotes today. Just wanted to post how I feel about ‘pride’ month.” Attached is a 3-second clip from the show Parks and Rec featuring the character Ron Swanson (played by Offerman) angrily throwing a large rainbow Pride flag into a dumpster. The video includes a watermark “@johnhackerla” and shows an industrial alley setting with a green dumpster and concrete wall. The implication of the original tweet is hostile to Pride Month, while Offerman’s reply mocks it by pointing out that his character (Ron) supported a gay wedding.
