while TOY STORY was always rooted in nostalgia, the plot of a newer, shinier, culturally prestigious toy (a spaceman) displacing an older one (a cowboy) does at least reflect the march of time. the gang fighting an ipad, however, is nothing. it's regressive. it's pure boomer phantasmagoria.
