In case you can't tell what just happened, JK Rowling instructed her followers to take photos of anyone in a women's restroom who doesn't match their idea of Western feminine beauty standards. Short hair? Thick cheekbones/jaw? Too tall or broad-shouldered? You're now "a man" and will be harassed.
If you're still buying wizard book shit, you are no friend to the trans community. Here's the wizard book bigot inciting harassment against innocent people to her 14 million followers on the nazi app.

And no, they can't Always Tell.

I think I have more than enough fingers to count where this ranks in proudest moments. If you were able to catch either of the livestreams, let me know what you thought! I appreciated all who were able to come out in person.
Thank you Karen P. Thomas and UUC Loft Choir!
Full heart.

One thing Democratic leadership could do right now is to name an alternate HHS secretary--someone to provide ongoing public updates and health information. And do it for other departments too. Start showing voters what a Democratic government would look like--press conferences, speeches, all of it.

I had to check for myself, but YES the NPS has REMOVED the T from LGB(whatever) on their Stonewall info site. Yes, THAT Stonewall, where TRANS woman Marsha P. Johnson was a key figure. The Ts are disappearing everywhere, folks. Why do you think that is?

As a parent I feel there should be room for nuance and education regarding treatment for minors who are trans. But there is NO ROOM NOW for anything but courage in the face of this open attack on US citizens from within the US.
Don't obey in advance.
Trans Rights Are Human Rights.

I doubt we will see much coverage of protests in the streets outside of these and indie sources.
Add Aljazeera to the list. AP and Reuters are still ok. Any others to recommend?

I saw her speak in person and we all should listen. Right now.
Jasmine Crockett: "The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the US and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the US and if we don't wake up we may not have a US"

So now we’re at the point where legacy media will print the *Opposite* of your OpEd and put your name on it.

Whatever you’re doing to resist, for the love of humanity keep doing it and more.
Please read this thread and Eric's original article. The Media (and in this case specifically, the LA Times) are not just failing us, but actively deceiving the public for their own ends. Absolutely horrifying.
My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.
