A new study published in BMC Public Health has found that use of chlorpyrifos—a commonly used organophosphate (OP) #pesticide linked to negative health outcomes when #pregnant people are exposed to it—sharply dropped in CA following a ban in 2020, and overall OP pesticide use more than halved.

More Americans may be abstaining from #drinking, according to a new #Gallup poll, w/ 54% of respondents saying they consume #alcohol— the lowest in the survey's history. The decline among young adults is most pronounced, w/ only 50% of respondents 18-34 reporting they consume alcohol. Via @npr.org:

In 2021, when the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force lowered the recommended age to begin #ColorectalCancer screenings from 50 to 45, experts worried that the younger age groups would be less likely to opt in to the screening.
