My pippins OCs! Shout out to @cluniies.bsky.social and that-guy-sleepy-miles on tumblr for inspiring some of their design choices for me! I don't think I'd have the motivation to design these fellas without their and everyone else's positive reactions to their roles in FRT #deltarune #deltaruneoc

They're not a typical pippins. The pippins has a damaged, dirty, cream-colored hooded poncho with muddied purple-brown nordic knitting accents, a turtleneck sweater, and is using a nail for a cane. The text says: "Lady Luck, AKA Grams Pronouns: she/her Favorite Lightner: Rudy Lady Luck belongs to Rudy, who keeps her in his pocket as a good luck charm. she gets her nickname "Grams" on account of the other pippins suspecting that she's a weighted die due to her mostly rolling 6's, and it's unknown whether even Rudy is aware if she is or not. She is very, very old, being made of wood instead of the plastic that modern pippins are made of, and has been passed down a few generations before making her way to Rudy, who had planned on giving her to Dess before she disappeared. Chance admired her greatly, seeing her wins as genuine skill and not cheating like the other pippins did, and would often challenge her during those times she was around for game nights and the like between the Holiday family. She humored them, and always won."

A ship doesn't have to be canon to be good or worth exploring. It's really strange this recent trend of canon or bust. If a dynamic grips you, you find it interesting, or it makes you pause, and you can tweak it to make it work for you and your art, go nuts. That's the joy of transformative fandom!

bad people can and often do make good art. attacking the art as retroactively subpar to free yourself of moral dilemma and give yourself permission to not care means you're innately equating quality of art as representative of moral virtue (it's not) which is how you get purity culture
