I didn’t want to return to this, but I’ve seen a lot of hurt and anxiety caused to close online friends and also to many others just trying to exist in an online community. It’s easy to say that all this shit online is fake and can be ignored, but that’s obviously not true
I don’t like doing negative posts, especially about other creators, but I really hate what I’m seeing out of Anthony Gramuglia. His channel has become a low-rent video essay mill that platforms chuds. Which is bad enough without also letting them broadcast their views uncontested

This replay has played a minor role in butterfly effect that has led to a giant posting war/meltdown nearly three weeks after the fact and I find it deeply embarrassing to have contributed to Online Culture
It’s very despair inducing how many people have latched onto Gramuglia with how much of his content is regurgitated from better YouTubers and essayists (and, to this post, how that extends to his massive unpreparedness in these debate streams)

I have now beaten Yakuza 0. Yes. It’s as good as everyone says. Actually better! Having played through 1-5, it’s immaculate. They should’ve stopped the series here, but I’m glad they didn’t
