I gave up halfway through the first Wheel of Time book because it was too sluggishly paced for my taste but after the season finale I'm now so many fathoms deep in wiki pages, reading up on all the lore and magic systems. So tempted to go back to the books and re-watch the series.

In the books, both are introduced but then there is no use of any of those from tFoH to ToM. Literally in the 2nd last book do they become imp again & the storyline makes sense. So we'll get them later dw!
