Katherine “Kate” Ho, the John L. Weinberg Professor of Economics and Business Policy and former co-director of CHW, died on Dec. 8, 2025. She is remembered by Princeton colleagues as a brilliant scholar, a devoted adviser, and an inspiring role model.

The Center for Health and Wellbeing mourns the loss of our esteemed colleague and former co-director Professor Kate Ho. Her research and leadership advanced our understanding of the industrial organization of the medical care market, drug pricing, and other issues contributing to global health.
The Economics Department at @Princeton is saddened to share the news of Professor Kate Ho's passing. Professor Ho was an exemplary teacher, researcher, adviser, colleague, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
