A history lesson. Before Pearl Harbor the US led an isolationist policy towards the hostile axis powers. The US allowed their friends to wither, Well guess what happened, German subs off the east coast of the US and Japanese ships on the West Coast. It took Pearl Harbor to course correct.
Given that Trump has insulted, tariffed or even threatened all loyal US allies, the US has no allies left. Then it had better increase defense expenditures drastically.
